A little about me…

Raised in Seattle - my mother an artist, my father a pirate (sort of). I therefore got a job as quickly as I could and have worked in health care many years. The draw to explore and create through a unique lens was deeply embedded, however. I’ve been trying to explore and capture my vision of the world for many years, and now just looking for ways to share some visions that I love. Ceramics was a surprise - not a pandemic hobby (that was guitar), but followed soon after in the emotional wake of walking through the pandemic in a daily hospital environment. Handbuilding offered tactile comfort, reflection, community and solitude when I needed it - my practice is inspired by natural forms and materials, the contrasts of light and shade, intimate connections and quiet moments to pause.
